Majel Barrett, also known as Majel Barrett-Roddenberry, was an American actress and producer. She was the daughter of Gladys V. (Cotterman) and William R. Hudec. She was married to Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry.

Majel’s paternal grandparents were William Joseph Hudec (the son of Joseph Hudec and Mary Kuchta) and Julia Josephine Hendricks (the daughter of Mary Weit). William was the son of Czech immigrants. Julia was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to parents from Czechoslovakia.

Majel’s maternal grandfather was Clarence Elmer Cotterman (the son of Philip Cotterman and Mary Bender). Philip was the son of Michael Cotterman and Catharine/Catharina Hetrick.

Majel’s maternal grandmother was Mary Elizabeth/Ellen Rousculp (the daughter of Elias Rousculp and Martha Irene Church). Elias was the son of Jacob Rousculp and Anna Elizabeth Brocius. Martha was the daughter of David or Daniel Church and Mary Mohler.
