Mike Love is an American American singer, songwriter, and musician. He is a member of the band The Beach Boys, which also includes/included his cousins, Brian Wilson, Carl Wilson, and Dennis Wilson, as well as Al Jardine.
Mike is the son of Emily Glee (Wilson) and Edward Milton Love. Mike’s father was of English, Scots-Irish (Northern Irish), Scottish, German, and remote French descent. His mother’s ancestry was half Swedish, with her other roots being English, Scottish, and some Scots-Irish (Northern Irish) and Welsh.
Mike’s paternal grandfather was Edward Fieldon/Fuldon Love (the son of Fieldon Jasper Love and Caroline M. “Callie” Graham). Fieldon was the son of Thomas Marion Love and Jackey Odelia Cochran. Caroline was the daughter of Joseph Laird Crockett Graham and Clara M. Dalrymple, whose parents were Irish Protestants, from Dublin.
Mike’s paternal grandmother Edith Rose Clardy (the daughter of William Giles Clardy and Alberta Louisa Chadwick). William was the son of James T. Clardy and Lucretia Ann Todd. Alberta was born in Rochdale, England, the daughter of James Chadwick and Mary Holt.
Mike’s maternal grandfather was William Coral Wilson (the son of William Henry Wilson and Alta Lenora Chitwood). Brian’s great-grandfather William was the son of George Washington Wilson and Mary Margret Bailey. Alta was the daughter of Green Lee Chitwood and Ruth Chaffin.
Mike’s maternal grandmother was Edith Sophia Stohle/Sthole (the daughter of Carl Johan Stål, later Charles J. Sthole, and of Mary Amelia Lindholm). Carl was born in Högsby, Småland, Sweden, the son of Adolf Fredrik Stål and Lovisa Adolfsdotter. Mary Amelia was born in Illinois, to Swedish parents.
