Jake’s paternal grandparents were John Willoughby Lacy (the son of Clive Woodbury Lacy and Mona Bellingham Matthews) and Barbara Muther (the daughter of Robert Walter Muther and Gertrude Helen Bird). Robert’s father, Lorenz Franz Muther, was Austrian, from Tyrol, and Robert’s mother, Louise Ebert, was born in Illinois, to German parents.

Jake’s maternal grandparents were Richard Pearce Griffin (the son of Harold Graham Griffin and Edith Linwood Pearl) and Mabel Pat Hitchcock (the daughter of Harvey Rexford Hitchcock and Eliza Hennessey). Harold’s mother was from Nova Scotia, Canada. Eliza was of somewhere between half and full Native Hawaiian ancestry.
