Shawn is the son of Lynn Kay (Howe) and Raymond P. “Ray” Christian.
Shawn has stated:
I’m Scandinavian, Irish and a little German. My mom is Scandinavian, with blue eyes and blonde hair. My dad is dark with jet black hair. Maybe I need to do Ancestry.com to find out if there is anything else in me.
Shawn’s paternal grandfather was Leonard L. Christian (the son of Bert Leroy “Roy” Christian and Mabel Lyon/Lion). Bert was the son of Almarin/Almerion/Almarine D. Christian and Pluma E. Emmons/Emens. Mabel was the daughter of William Lyon and Lillian Trowbridge.
Shawn’s paternal grandmother was Alice Catherine Wacha (the daughter of Joseph Wacha and Catherine Ida Carten). Joseph was the son of Czech parents, Ignatius Henry Wacha and Barbara Marik. Catherine was born in Ontario, Canada, the daughter of John Patrick Carten, who was Irish, and of Catherine Stone, who was Canadian.
Shawn’s maternal grandfather was John Wycliffe Howe (the son of Maud). John was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Shawn’s maternal grandmother was June V. Stockholm (the daughter of Andrew Stockholm and Emma C. Burkle). Andrew was the son of Danish parents, Nicholas Stockholm and Gensine Senna/Sena/Siena Holmes. Emma was the daughter of German parents, Charles Burkle and Katharina Friederika Held.
