His father, Stephen Mark “Steve” Dasovich, is an American merchant mariner, from Staten Island, New York City. His mother, Charry Lising, is Filipino.
Wil’s paternal grandfather is Stephen John “Steve” Dasovich (the son of Frane Dasović, later Frank Dasovich, and of Nellie Karpan). Wil’s grandfather Steve was born in Keewatin, Minnesota. Frank was a Croatian emigrant, from Švica, Ličko-Senjska, and was the son of Stipan Dasović and Kata Grljević. Nellie was the daughter of Croatian emigrants, Marko Krpan (later Mark “Mike” Karpan) and Kata Šerić (later Catherine Sherick), both of Gospić, Lika-Senj.
Wil’s paternal grandmother is Sheila Tooker (the daughter of Lewis Owen Tooker and Catherine Mary Saunders). Sheila was born in New London, Connecticut. Lewis was the son of Charles Elbert Tooker, who was of English, as well as small amount of Irish, Scottish, and Welsh, descent, and of Mary E. Kilcollum, whose own parents, Owen Kilcollum and Ellen Gilmartin, were Irish emigrants. Catherine was the daughter of Irish emigrants, Patrick Saunders and Bridget Garvey.
