Gavin’s paternal grandfather is Phillip A. Casalegno (the son of Lorenzo Giuseppe “Joseph” Casalegno and Florence McGowan). Lorenzo was born in California, to parents from Piedmont, Italy, Giovanni Felice Casalegno and Carolina/Maria Domenica Garbero. Florence was born in California, the daughter of William Henry McGowan/McGowen and Hannah Hunt, who was English.
