Kathleen’s maternal grandfather was Raymond Fredrick Wasden (the son of Harmon Edward Wasden and Flossie Ann Quarnberg). Harmon was the son of Frederick Wasden, who was English, and Anna Maria Kristina Esklund, who was Swedish, from Gotland. Flossie was the daughter of Swedish immigrants, from Gotland, Peter Jacob Quarnberg and Caroline Marie Hanseen.
