Tyler Griffin is an American actor. He is the son of Ileane Rusch (Ileane Lorraine Rausch), a film producer, and Patrick Griffin (Patrick J. Griffin), a film music composer.
Tyler’s father is of English, German, and 1/32 French-Canadian descent. Tyler’s mother’s ancestry is one half Italian and one half African-American.
Tyler’s aunt (father’s sister) was Julie Jensen, who was murdered in 1998 (alledgedly) by her husband, Mark Jensen, who was convicted for the murder.
Tyler’s paternal grandfather was Raymond Lewis Griffin (the son of William Mathias Griffin and Grace Lovena Gullidge). Tyler’s maternal grandfather is author, educator, and musician John Novello (born John Anthony Novello; the son of John A. Novello and Menga A. Cacchione). John was the son of Italian parents, Pasquale “Patsy” Novello and Antoinette “Anna” Chianello. Menga was the daughter of Thomas N. Cacchione, who was Italian, and Rachel DiFilippo, whose parents were Italian.
Tyler’s maternal grandmother was singer, actress, and vocal coach Gloria Rusch (born Gloria Jean Rausch). Gloria was born in Alabama, and was African-American.
