Adam Savage is an American television personality and special effects designer, best known for being one of the two hosts of the Discovery Channel program MythBusters.

Savage’s paternal grandfather was Joseph Whitney Savage (son of Whitman Lee Savage and Lucinda Julia Slack). Whitman was the son of William Allen Savage and Frances Thankful Detty. Lucinda was the daughter of John William Slack and Amazetta Ritter.

Savage’s paternal grandmother was Janet Kelly.

Savage’s maternal grandfather was Cushman Davis Haagensen (son of Edward C. Haagensen and Henrietta T. Paulson). Cushman’s family was Norwegian.

Savage’s maternal grandmother was Alice Beecher Munro (daughter of Dana Carleton Munro and Alice Gardner Beecher). Dana was the son of John Bennett Munro and Abby H. Batt. Dana was a history professor at the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Wisconsin, and Princeton University, and was the president of the American Historical Association in 1926. Alice Gardner Beecher was the daughter of Samuel P. Beecher and Caroline Walker.
