Abby Huntsman is an American television personality.
She is the daughter of Mary Kaye (Cooper), an activist, and Jon Huntsman, Jr., a politician, diplomat, and businessman. Her father has served as a Governor of Utah (from 2005 to 2009), a United States Ambassador to Singapore (from 1992 to 1993), and a United States Ambassador to China (from 2009 to 2011).
Abby’s paternal grandparents are Jon Huntsman, Sr. (Jon Meade Huntsman, the son of Alonzo Blaine Huntsman and Sarah Kathleen Robison) and Karen Haight (the daughter of David Bruce Haight and Ruby Mildred Olson). Abby’s grandfather Jon is a billionaire businessman and philanthropist who founded the Huntsman Chemical Corporation. Abby’s great-grandfather David B. Haight was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the LDS church.
Abby’s maternal grandparents are Charles Floyd Cooper (the son of Ruby Floyd Cooper and Gladys Irene Boyce) and Mary Anne Galloway (the daughter of John Leon Galloway and Helen R. Goetchius). Helen was the daughter of Charles B. Goetchius and Elizabeth G. Daniel.
Abby is a third half-cousin, twice removed, of politician Mitt Romney. Abby’s paternal great-great-great-great-grandfather, early LDS leader Parley Parker Pratt, was also Mitt’s paternal great-great-grandfather.
