Birth name: Suzanne Marie Mahoney

Date of birth: October 16, 1946

Place of birth: San Bruno, California, U.S

Ethnicity: Irish, possibly some English

Suzanne Somers is an American actress, author, singer, businesswoman, and health spokesperson. She is remembered for television role of Chrissy Snow on Three’s Company and as Carol Foster Lambert on Step by Step.

She is the daughter of Francis “Frank” Stanislaus Mahoney and Marion Elizabeth Turner. Suzanne’s ancestors are mostly recent Irish immigrants to the U.S., except for her maternal great-grandfather Robert Duplex Turner, who seems to had deeper lines in America.

Suzanne’s paternal grandparents were Michael Mahoney and Mary Agnes Sullivan. Michael was an Irish immigrant, and Mary was born in California, the daughter of Mr. Sullivan and Anna Donohue, who were from Ireland.

Suzanne’s maternal grandfather was George Joseph Turner (the son of Robert Duplex Turner and Margaret Mullins). George was born in San Francisco, California. Robert was born in New York, to a father from Virginia and a mother from New York. Margaret was the daughter of Irish parents from Cork, Dennis Mullins and Eliza Furlong.

Suzanne’s maternal grandmother was Nellie Bernadette Keating, who was born in California to Irish parents.
