Scott’s paternal grandfather was Clyde Raymond Adams (the son of George Willard Adams and Louise F. Parks). Clyde was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. George was the son of Henry Adams and Eva S. Pettee. Louise was the daughter of William Parks and Jane Gilmore/Gilman, who were born in Sherbrooke, Québec, Canada. Jane’s parents were Irish or Scottish.

Scott’s paternal grandmother was Frances M. Post (the daughter of Charles A. Post and Grace F. Van Hoesen). Frances was born in New York. Charles was born in Germany, the son of Frederick L. “Fred” Post and Mathilda Fitzner.

Scott’s maternal grandfather was named Russell Vining (the son of David Vining and Orpha M.). Russell was born in New York.

Scott’s maternal grandmother was Flossie Turk (the daughter of Charles Edgar Turk and Mollie Frayer). Flossie was born in New York.
