John Owen Lowe is an American writer, producer, and actor. He has appeared on the shows The Grinder, The Lowe Files, and Unstable, and in the film Holiday in the Wild.

He is the son of make-up artist Sheryl Berkoff and actor Rob Lowe (Robert Hepler Lowe). His uncle is actor Chad Lowe (Charles David Lowe II). His brother, Matthew Lowe, has sometimes appeared with him and his father in projects. John was raised in his mother’s Jewish religion.

John’s paternal grandfather is Charles David “Chuck” Lowe (the son of Robert Edward Lowe and Maurine Davis). Charles was born in Indiana. Robert was the son of John Frank/Franklin/C. Lowe and Flora E. Nienaber, whose parents were German. Maurine was the daughter of James Oliver Davis and Nell/Nellie/Nelle H. Rushen/Rusken/Ruskin.

John’s paternal grandmother was Barbara Lynn Hepler (the daughter of Robert Monroe Hepler and Margaret Olive Grouver). Barbara was born in Ohio. Robert was the son of Oran William Hepler and Bessie Mae/May East, and was of German descent. Margaret was the daughter of Harry Ford Grouver and Olive Marie Owen.

John’s maternal grandfather’s surname was Berkoff.
