Greg Lake was an English musician, singer, and songwriter. He was the lead singer, guitarist, bassist, and co-lyricist of progressive rock Emerson, Lake, and Palmer (ELP). Other members of the band included Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer. He was also a founding member of the band King Crimson and Emerson, Lake, and Powell, which also included Emerson.
Greg was the son of Pearl and Harry Lake, an engineer. He grew up in a poor family, in the suburb Oakdale. He learned guitar at twelve, and wrote his first song “Lucky Man.” He was married, and a had a daughter.
