Adam West is and American actor. He is known for playing Batman in the 1960s television and film, and for voicing Mayor West, who was named after him, on the series Family Guy. He is the son of Audrey Volenne Flothow (Speer) and Otto West Anderson.
Adam’s paternal grandparents were Jöns Peter “John” Anderson (the son of Anders Bengtsson and Boel Johansdotter/Johnston) and Anna Fredrika Gamberg (the daughter of Gustof Nilson Gamberg and Anna Lisa Danielsdotter). Adam’s paternal grandparents were both Swedish immigrants.
Adam’s maternal grandparents were William Felix Speer (the son of James Speer and Elizabeth Jane Garred) and Ina Hunter (the daughter of Peter Hunter and Miriam Adams). Most of Adam’s mother’s ancestors were English and Welsh. Elizabeth’s maternal second great-grandfather, Abraham Sneethen, was born in Germany; she also had distant French, Breton, and Scottish ancestry.
