Paul Revere was an American silversmith, engraver, and early industrialist. He was a Patriot in the American Revolution. He is known for alerting the Colonial militia about the imminent arrival of the British militia, in 1775, before the battles of Lexington and Concord.
Paul was the son of Deborah (Hitchborn) and Apollos Rivoire/Revere. His father was French, born in Riocaud, Gironde, Aquitaine, France. His mother was American, born in Boston, of English descent.
Paul’s paternal grandparents were Isaac Rivoire (the son of Jean Rivoire and Magdeleine Malapougne) and Serenne Lambert.
